Safety First

Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our priority. Please read and follow these guidelines when booking care or providing services through Medfy.

1. Not for emergencies

Medfy is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing chest pain, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, or any life‑threatening situation, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency facility immediately.

2. Verifying professionals

We verify licenses and credentials of Health Professionals before they join Medfy. In the app, you can see basic profile, qualifications, and ratings.

If something feels wrong or you believe a profile is not genuine, please stop the interaction and report it to us immediately through the app or team@medfy.org.

3. Home visit safety

  • Ensure someone you trust knows about your appointment, especially for late‑hour visits.
  • Confirm the professional's name and profile picture in the app before letting them in.
  • Keep valuables out of sight and only allow the professional access to the areas needed for care.

4. Remote consultation safety

  • Find a quiet, private place to talk about your health information.
  • Use the in‑app chat or call features where possible, rather than unverified channels.
  • If you do not understand any medical advice, ask the professional to explain again in simple terms.

5. Respect & conduct

Patients and Health Professionals must treat each other with respect at all times. Abuse, harassment, discrimination, or threats are not tolerated on Medfy.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules to protect the safety of the community.

6. Reporting concerns

If you feel unsafe, experience unprofessional behaviour, or suspect fraud, please report it as soon as possible. You can:

  • Use the support or report features in the app (where available).
  • Email us at team@medfy.org.
  • Contact local authorities where appropriate.

7. Updates to these guidelines

We may update these Safety Guidelines as Medfy grows and regulations change. We encourage you to review this page regularly to stay informed.
